Free email checker
Verify any email address in milliseconds — no signup. Powered by the same engine InkPigeon uses to deliver mail, not a lookup table.
What gets checked
- Syntax — full RFC parsing, not a regex: length limits, character rules, structure.
- Domain & DNS — does the domain exist, does it publish MX records, and does it explicitly refuse mail (RFC 7505 null-MX)?
- Disposable providers — temporary-mailbox services whose addresses evaporate in minutes.
- Typos — gmial.com, hotmial.com and friends, with the correction suggested, never auto-applied.
- Role accounts — info@, admin@, support@: real mailboxes, poor engagement.
Signed-in checks add a live SMTP mailbox probe and catch-all detection, from a dedicated validation IP so your sending reputation is never at stake.

Frequently asked questions
Is this email checker really free?
Yes. Single checks are free with no signup — a per-IP limit keeps the tool fair. Bulk list cleaning and live mailbox verification are part of an InkPigeon account.
How does the checker work?
It runs the address through the same pipeline InkPigeon uses before delivering real mail: RFC syntax parsing, domain and public-suffix checks, live DNS MX lookups (including RFC 7505 null-MX detection), a disposable-domain list, typo detection against popular providers, and role-account analysis — combined into one verdict and a 0–100 risk score.
What does a “risky” result mean?
The address can receive mail, but something warrants caution: a role account (like info@ or admin@), a disposable provider, or a domain with no proper MX record. Deliverable, but watch bounces and engagement.
What does “unknown” mean?
DNS alone cannot always give a definitive answer — some servers accept every address (catch-all) or defer strangers (greylisting). An honest checker says “unknown” rather than guessing. Signed-in checks go further with a live SMTP mailbox probe.
Do you store the addresses I check?
No. Free-tool checks are not stored at all — not even hashed. The answer is computed, returned, and forgotten.
Can I check a whole list?
Yes — with a free InkPigeon account you can upload a CSV, get every row validated, download the annotated file and suppress the undeliverable addresses in one click.
